Transcend 16GB Class 10 SDHC Card (TS16GSDHC10)

For the last month or so I have been looking for a good 16GB SDHC memory card. After doing my research I found the Transcend 16gb SDHC card SD 3.0 SPD class 10. This thing is working perfectly and has great response to transferring files.
Transcend 16GB Class 10 SDHC Card (TS16GSDHC10)Although I have not seen Transcend much in the market, the performance this little guy has is amazing. I have bought many high end memory cards that compare in performance, but ended up failing far to quickly for the price I paid.

Transcend has really done a great job in the mini memory world, and this 16GB SDHC card is top notch.

On another note I also recently purchased a new Android phone. The problem I was having was finding a suitable flash memory card for it. Check out my next review to see how the SandDisk 16gb class 2 microSDHC card held up.

If you own this particular product please let me know how it worked out for you. If you have had better luck with another device please share your information so we can do a review on it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Future Weapons: Season 1

A long time back I had purchased the Future Weapons: Season 1 DVD pack online. I received it quickly and watched the entire season in one night. This inspired a post of mine on this website http://thejonestheory.blogspot.com/2007/02/future-weapons.html So far this has been my highest producing post on this website.
Future Weapons: Season 1The reason that post is getting so much attention is because of how awesome the show is. If you have seen this show before, you know some of the cool toys Richard "Mack" Machowicz gets to demonstrate for us.

There have since been a few more seasons put out. But today I watched the entire season again and remembered why it was so freaking cool. If you haven't bought it, pick up Future Weapons: Season 1 on DVD and be prepared to wipe a grin off your face.

If you have bought or are buying this DVD, let me know what you thought about it. Did you enjoy watching things get blown up as much as I did?

FreeCreditReport.com - A Review

I have been using their site for about 2 months now. They offer a 14 day trial for getting your free report, and charge 14.95 monthly to track your credit score. For 24.95 monthly you can track you credit score on all 3 reporting agency's.

Although they are not the cheapest site out there (Wellsfargo offers all 3 scored for 14.95 to their customers) I have found that they have the easiest and nicest flowing site of all the ones I have tried.

I have also found their alerts to be very handy when keeping a close eye on your credit score. I get an alert sent to my email, in turn gets sent to my phone. So every time something on my credit happens, I am notified within 20 seconds of the action.

Over all I would say they are a little spendy, but for their well designed site, and easy to use layout, I think this is a great program for anyone working on building their credit back up. The first step to rebuilding credit, Is knowing your credit number.

There is only one book I ever recommend to people trying to get out of debt, and fix their credit. This is a must have! This is the book by Dave Ramsey called The Total Money Makeover.

Dearly Devoted Dexter

Dearly Devoted Dexter (Vintage Crime/Black Lizard)I started the second book about 3 days ago. I had just finishes Darkly Dreaming Dexter, which was the first in the set. So far the second book has kept me on a short leash. For the first part of this book Dexter takes us through some of his brain and paints a decently detailed picture about whats going on in his "lizard Brain" as he would put it.

Within the first few chapters we are introduced to his next victim. We also start to get a in depth layout of the rules and laws Dexter follows, which were laid down by Harry, His adopted father. There is still more yet to play out in this story of Dexter, our Good guy serial killer.

More updates to come as I get farther into the book, as well as a final review once I am done. I would highly recommend picking the first book up if you haven't already, this is a set of books you will love!

First Book: Darkly Dreaming Dexter (Vintage Crime/Black Lizard)

Darkly Dreaming Dexter - Book

Darkly Dreaming Dexter (Vintage Crime/Black Lizard)
Darkly dreaming Dexter is a book by Jeff Lindsay (also made into a Showtime series) about a character "Dexter Morgan" who works for the Metro Miami Police as a blood splatter analyst. Dexter's foster sister "Debera Morgan" also works with Dexter in the Metro Miami Police force.

Dexter is the lead blood splatter analyzer, with a twisted alter ego. Dexter was adopted by "Harry Morgan" a Miami Police detective  who raised Dexter with a wild understanding of Dexter's "Imperfections" growing up as a young child.

This story takes us along a thrilling ride as Dexter try's to solve a series of murders done by the "Ice Truck Killer" who's murder techniques follow oddly similar to Dexter's. Follow Dexter on his murderous adventurers as he and Debera track the ice truck killer through Miami.

I was given this book as a gift from a friend who knew that I deeply enjoyed the T.V series on showtime. Once I started reading the book I realized I wasn't able to put it down. I ended up reading the entire book in one sitting. Only an hour later did I get back online and order the following 2 books in the series.

I will be putting up a short overview and some comments on those two in due time. For now I would highly recommend this first book as a place to start. please let me know how much you enjoyed this book. I would love to hear back!

Have you read this book? Please leave a comment about what you thought of it.

Order: Darkly Dreaming Dexter (Vintage Crime/Black Lizard) from Amazon

Some changes to the site

So as you can probably tell I have been making some changes to the site lately.

I have been tying some things up on my end of life, and am starting to get some time to put into the site. I will be getting a domain name soon, and some private web hosting, and get a new blog going.

For now I will be using Blogger to keep my posts going, and to keep my pay per post up. But eventually (meaning in a couple of days) I will be setting up my personal website, with my own domain, and my own blog.

I will also be starting up a partner ship with another friend of mine and setting up a blog with several authors, along with a public forum to talk about the articles we post on there.

If you would like to help support either websites, please let my know by sending me a email at jjonesdesign@gmail.com with the subject "TheJonesTheory"

Thank you all, and have a great night.

Big Corporations remind me of Higschoolers

So Ive been recently told about a little issue that AOL has been having with a small group of people who have created a program that allows the combination of AIM,Yahoo,Msn,Jabber, and a few other chat messengers, All in one single program.

The group of developers created this application and named it "Gaim" While this stood for "GTK + AOL Instant Messenger" there is where my point leads me to. Although this name closely resembles the name "AIM" the application "Gaim" was created before AOL ever started calling their service "AIM".

Big Corporations remind me of High school students. They nag, complain, and do anything to make someone else's life a living hell. I support open source developing, and in doing so beleive that just because a name is like another, Doesn't mean they are trying to steal your work.

How often do you go to a computer store and see off brand products using things like "I " when they have absolutely no relevance to APPLE. They are merely item's for the product they put out called "IPOD" This is nothing different from this situation. AOL put out a product called "AOL Instant Messegner". "Gaim" is a off brand of "AIM".

Do you catch my drift here? Not only was "Gaim" around before the name "AIM" but "Gaim" is an open source project. Which means they the developers are not making anymoney from people using the product.

Whats with these movies?

A Scanner Darkly

This movie was actually not a bad movie. It was done using cel shading, and is actually not that bad of an idea when it comes to trying out new things. They used the cel shading to there advantage too, Which was amazing how they did it.

What do I think?

If this was the directors first movie, then I would give him HUGE props. but at this point, It's not. Overall this movie would be considered NOT that good. With a loose storyline and a lack of details on whats going on it makes for a stretched out tweaker movie. I know this is suppose to be one of those "sci-fi Mystery" time movies, but it does lack in quite a bit.

What would I rate it?

Personally I'd rate this movie at about a 6 out of 10. but only because they used the cel shading to achieve AWESOME effects. Hopefully this director will put out another movie using the same techniques, but with a little better story line. Hopefully next time he will choose a better main character too. I mean come on, he was good in the matrix, but I can't take him seriously anymore.

Wrap it up

It was an ok movie, Id probably watch it again, but only because id pay more detail and try and figure out a few things that to me they left out. If you want to watch a movie that is different, then id choose this one.
